For interior design, Rattan has been incredibly popular over the years. Rattan is a plant fiber that is commonly found in Asia and is used to build furniture. It’s classic woven pattern with square openings have been a long-time favorite in resorts and hotels in those areas. Bringing the look back home, many “beach” resort hotels use rattan to give visitors a sense of being on an exotic vacation. You can also give your home a light, vacation-esque vibe with rattan!
